Liz Emens is a professor of law at Columbia Law School, where she teaches and writes in the areas of employment discrimination, contracts, family law, and disability law. Her Ph.D. was in English, and in addition to her work in law, she remains involved in the arts. Her meditation practice began in 2006 and she has been involved with the CMC since 2008. |

Sarah Longhi is a former classroom teacher who now writes and edits instructional materials for teachers. She volunteers as a creative movement teacher in Harlem and enjoys learning from her students. |

Paul Merrill grew up in Boston and studied art at the Pratt Institute. He is a painter, designer and a singer. Paul studies and teaches Non-Violent Communication in the New York area. He began his meditation practice in in 2001. |

Sheila Ronsen is a psychoanalyst in private practice in Manhattan. She has been intermittently engaged with Buddhism since the 1980's and has attended retreats at IMS in Barre, Massachusetts. She is also interested in other spiritual traditions and practices. She has been studying yoga since 2005 and maintains a daily yoga practice.

Susanna Weiss is the Executive Director of the Community Meditation Center. She has practiced meditation since 2000, studying with Stephen Batchelor, Thich Nhat Hanh, Allan Lokos, Andrew Olendzki, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, and Sharon Salzberg. An ordained Interfaith minister, Susanna performs many wedding ceremonies throughout the year. She studied at The New Seminary and is a graduate of One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. A former dancer, Susanna designs individualized physical programs for clients. She and her staff specialize in working with issues that need a creative approach. |
